This year’s vaccine has arrived! Please call the clinic and come for the injection.

The seasonal flu vaccines recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for 2023/24

Egg-based Vaccines
include the following four strains:

an A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;
an A/Darwin/9/2021 (H3N2)-like virus; and
a B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virus; and
a B/Phuket/3073/2013 (B/Yamagata lineage)-like virus.

*For 6 months or above

  1. ALL Children (from 6 months to 12 years);
  2. ALL persons aged above 50 years;
  3. High risk persons (chronic diseases);
  4. Individuals at high risk work places
  5. (children in day care, child care personnel, Institutional workers, doctors, teachers etc.);
  6. Pregnant women;
  7. Anyone who wants to reduce the chance of contracting Influenza
To provide maximum protection, include ALL FAMILY MEMBERS.
NOW, before year end preferably.
Adults and children 9 years or older
  • 1 dose every year
Children under 9 years
  • First time: 2 doses spaced 1 month apart;
  • subsequently, every year
  • Injecting into the muscle (Fluarix-tetra, FluQuadri or FluQuadri-Peadi)
    It is suitable for children age from six months onwards. There are 2 injectable inactivated vaccines available at our clinic.
  • Administer to nostrils (Flumist) – It is suitable for children age from 2 years onwards. This is a live- attenuated vaccine.
  • None of these vaccines contain thimerosal.
  1. Pain and swelling of the injection site
  2. Mild flu-like symptoms (fever, runny nose and tiredness)
